Privacy & cookies.

This site is a shop window, not a product: there is no account to create, no newsletter, no analytics and no advertising. The only personal data we ask for is what you type into the contact form. Below is exactly what happens to it, which cookies reach your browser and who sets them — written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer: the processing described on this page is occasional, involves no special categories of data and no systematic monitoring, so Article 37 GDPR does not require one. Write to the address above for anything on this page.

The contact form

The form at the bottom of the home page asks for your name, your email address and your message. Nothing else is collected, and nothing on the form is pre-filled or inferred.

Purpose
To read your enquiry and reply to it.
Legal basis
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a possible contract with us, and Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us — in every other case.
Is it obligatory?
No. The form is the only thing on this site that collects anything, and you are free to email us instead. Without a name and an address we simply cannot reply.
Retention
We keep the correspondence for up to 24 months after our last exchange, and longer only if it becomes part of a contract or we are required to keep it.

Submissions are delivered to us by Formspree, Inc., a company in the United States, which passes the message on to our mailbox. Your browser sends the form directly to Formspree; it does not pass through this website's own server.

Content we embed from elsewhere

Two sections of the home page show material published on other platforms. When you scroll to them, your browser fetches that material directly from those platforms, which means they see your IP address, your browser's user agent and the fact that you were on this page — the same thing that happens on any site that embeds third-party content.

  • Insights lists the most recent posts from our Medium publication. The titles are retrieved through rss2json and the preview images come from Medium.
  • LinkedIn posts are displayed by a widget from Elfsight SL (Andorra), loaded from Elfsight's own servers.

Neither embed is used to profile you, and neither is given anything you typed. If you never scroll that far, neither one loads at all.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own — not one — and stores nothing in your browser's local or session storage. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tagging and no fingerprinting on any page of this site.

Three cookies can nevertheless reach your browser, all of them set by the platforms whose content the home page embeds, and all of them technical. They are listed in full:

All three are marked HttpOnly and Secure, which means no script on this page — ours or anyone else's — can read them. The two Cloudflare cookies exist to keep those platforms available and are, in Cloudflare's own words, strictly necessary to provide the service requested; that is why this site shows no consent banner. You can still refuse or delete every cookie in your browser's settings, and nothing on this site will break.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for anyone else's marketing, and we run no advertising. Beyond the parties already named above, the only recipients are the services that keep the site and our mail running:

  • Netlify, Inc. — hosts this website and serves every page of it.
  • Formspree, Inc. — delivers contact form submissions, as described above.

Transfers outside the EEA

Elfsight is established in Andorra, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection, so that transfer needs no further safeguard.

Netlify, Formspree, Medium and rss2json are in the United States. Our hosting is covered by Netlify's Data Processing Agreement, which is incorporated into its terms of service and includes the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and ask to receive it in a portable form. Write to development@cvng.tech and we will answer within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or to the authority where you live or work.

Changes to this page

If what we do with personal data changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated. There is no version history to dig through: what you are reading is what currently happens.
